This blog should be called "The Adventures of a Fabric Junkie!". I am passionate about fabric, threads, colours and textures. I can record my crazy quilting, sane quilting, embroidery and everything else that I consider important in my life.

Inside the studio
At the moment, the studio is still a bit of a mess until the walls and ceiling go in but that won't be until the electrician has been in next week. I thought of every reason why I'd need an electric plug - sewing machine, commercial overlocker, domestic overlocker, light box, iron, kettle, lap-top computer ........so I ordered four double plugs, which will get rid of having to use power boards or double adaptors. That extra power point is bothering me - please, can someone think of a good way to use it??

...microwave, coffee maker, clover mimi-iron, soldering iron,...Ummm!!! what else. Looks great Viv...
For heavens sake Viv (speaking as the wife of an electrician) put in more power points. Four doubles isn't nearly enough and it is soooooo much easier to put more in now (even if you think you won't use them) than it is to put them in later. I know it seems an expense, but trust me it's worth it.
Hugs Catherine (who still remembers the look on her DH's face when she said she didn't have enough and could he install more....lol)
How lucky you are to have such a wonderful studio. A home away from home! LOL. I'm happy for you.
I would have more points actually, because we all like to re-arrange the furniture regularly, and this can be limited by the proximity of powerpoints!
What about one for the iron, and one for desk/standard lamps etc as your eyesight gets worse?
And don't forget to put them up above table level, not down near the skirting board!Actually, those ones that hang down from the ceiling would be good!
It's looking good Viv!
I'm still looking forward to coffee in the new studio.
Reno loves Eddie's Railway signal...these men and their toys!
I really enjoy the progress of the studio, and I will be back for more. :) You've made some lovely things. Your Hexagons amazes me.
Radio/stereo; magnifying lamp; compressor for airbrush and the next new gadget. I agree lots of plugs and at worktable height.
Oh, easy, the extra plug is for a coffee machine permanently plugged in!
how about one for a scanner?
Hi Viv, How about a TV or radio? Hugs Debby
Okay, now that the gathering is over and you're at the gym etc, how is the studio coming along? Are you ready to set up shop? Anxious for "after" pictures.
